            CROCODILE RELATION TO BIRDS
DID YOU KNOW?
That crocodiles are more closely related to birds than any other living reptiles.
Astoundingly they show similar behavior traits with those of birds such as:
·        Crocodiles show a high degree of care to their young ones just as the birds spend much time with their chicks
·        Just like birds, crocodiles build a nest of plant materials

Other Facts about Crocodiles

·        The temperature at which the egg is incubated  during the first few weeks in the nest determines if the embryo will develop into male or female
·     Female crocodiles are produced at mid –range incubation temperatures below 310C
·        male crocodiles are produced at mid –range incubation temperatures above 310C-340C
·      Unlike other reptiles the crocodiles have four chambered heart and four chambered lungs which enable them to remain in underwater for up to 60mins
